The behaviour is different in case of attempting to update to firmware P. My switch is actually on P1. Same issue with my g.

Submit an awesome link! Tried it and I get the same results. Firmwarf out they didn't updated the GUI in the latest update: This topic has been archived. A recent thread on that forum says the the HP ProCurve G comes with a lifetime warranty so you should be able to get it serviced or replaced.
